Frequently asked questions for attendees

Do I need to purchase a StokerCon ticket to attend the signing?
No. The Mass Author Signing and Dealers Room are open to the general public.

Which authors will be there?
Please check the author seating chart. The final list of participating authors is subject to change.

Can I buy books at the event?
Yes. Many authors will have books available for sale. Selected books from the Guests of Honor Lifetime Achievement Award Winners will be available in the Dealers Room from White Whale Bookstore, our official bookseller.

Can I bring books for the authors to sign?
Yes, you are welcome to bring books from your personal collection.

How about other items?
While authors generally focus on books, they may sign other memorabilia at their discretion.

How many books or items will the authors sign?
To ensure everyone has a chance to meet the authors, we kindly ask that you limit yourself to 3 total items per author. We appreciate your consideration.

Set up and space

When can I set up?
We’ve assigned each author a table and a 45-minute time slot to enter the venue and set up their space. Our volunteer team will also be available to help you. The time slots are:
 

• Group 1 (Tables 1-33): 2:00 PM

• Group 2 (Tables 34-66): 2:45 PM

• Group 3 (Tables 67-91): 3:30 PM

What if I can’t make my time slot?
Please email your preferred time slot to stokercon2026massauthorsigning@gmail.com by Monday, May 18. We’ll do our best to accommodate you.

 

How big are the tables?
Tables are standard 6-foot event tables, 72"x18". Since there will be two people at a table, each author has approximately 36"x18" of space.

Can I bring a table runner or a freestanding banner?
We don't recommend bringing either.  Unless the runner is a half-table length, it will span the other author's space. We also can’t guarantee there will be enough space for a freestanding banner.

What can I bring to decorate my space?
Authors typically bring items like bookmarks, business cards, and small decorations.

Sales and inventory

Can I sell my books at the event?
Yes.
 

Will the event bookseller stock my books?
We’ve contracted White Whale Bookstore to provide specific titles. They are not able to stock books by all the authors participating in the mass signing. However, authors and publishers can send books directly to the hotel to include at the table.

How many books should I bring?
Authors typically bring between 12 and 24 books.

Will my books and materials be safe?
Yes. Protecting your things is our top priority. The space will be secured and supervised the entire time.
